Jack Dawson, MA, LAC
Therapist
Jack Dawson is a licensed associate counselor (LAC) in the state of Arizona. He was born and raised in Arizona and moved back to the Phoenix last September after spending three years down in Tucson. In his free time, Jack enjoys going to sporting events, reading, and spending time with family. He holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Rehabilitation and Mental Health from the University of Arizona.
“I love what I do and that makes it enjoyable and fun for me to work every day with adolescents, young adults as well as families. In my professional practice, I work with stress, worry, anxiety, depression, anger management, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. I have experience in assisting with transitions and other life changes such as relocations, due to my prior experience working for non-profits heavily involved in the foster care system.
As an avid sports fan and former athlete myself, I would welcome the opportunity to work with current athletes on performance-related issues such as confidence, motivation, as well as other sports specific challenges. I work collaboratively with adolescents, young adults, and families. In my work, I draw on skills and knowledge I gained while pursuing my Master’s degree as well as past trainings in different therapeutic approaches such as trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) to best serve my clients.”
