Stacey Rowland is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona. She was born and raised in Florida, and relocated to Arizona in 2012. She is married, has two young boys, and a feisty dog named Jazzy! Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing and listening to music, and traveling.
Stacey received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, where she also earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Stacey has extensive clinical training and experience in public mental health agencies, including residential and outpatient settings. Prior to private practice, Stacey held the position of clinical director in a residential treatment center for adolescents in Scottsdale, AZ. Additionally, she continually attends professional conferences and seminars to further strengthen her clinical skills.
Stacey also holds a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional certificate (CCTP), and has a considerable amount of knowledge and expertise in the treatment of trauma and traumatic grief. Stacey has completed training in trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Stacey is also a registered clinical supervisor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and is qualified to provide non-licensed practitioners with clinical supervision to work toward licensure.
Stacey is passionate about helping individuals and families address their mental health concerns. In therapy, she works collaboratively with her patients to identify and meet therapeutic goals. Her therapeutic approach integrates interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, existential therapy, and person-centered methods, and is strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed.
Michelle has experience addressing complex trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, bipolar disorder, perinatal mood disorders, fertility struggles, developmental challenges, acute and chronic illness, life transitions, attachment trauma, conflict, parenting, and relationship issues. She also understands the special education system and supports families navigating it.
She utilizes a range of evidence-based techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, EMDR, DBT, ACT, and somatic approaches.
